I’m honestly not the best food photographer. I’ve definitely improved over the year and a half I’ve been running this little food blog but it doesn’t come naturally for me. Sometimes, my inspiration comes from google images. No, seriously, it does. But overall, I’d say I’m actually a better travel/scenery/landscape photographer than I am a food photographer. Maybe others would say differently but that’s my opinion of myself, ?. However, I think the pictures for these Vulcan Fire Roasted Chickpeas actually came out pretty ok! What do you think?

Spice House generously supplied a gift pack of their most popular spice mixes awhile ago and I’ve been completely obsessed with their Vulcan Fire blend ever since! It has just the right amount of kick without going overboard. I’ve sprinkled it on everything from grilled vegetables to popcorn! And now I’ve created this beautiful snack recipe with it! It’s delicious, trust me.

Back in the beginning of May, we went to Nourished Festival, which is a gluten-free and food allergy fair. Tons of companies come to showcase their delicious products for us captivated audiences. It’s such a fun time of experiencing new products and getting to meet the people who have created something they’re passionate about. One of our favorite snacks we discovered there were these crunchy chickpeas. I don’t remember the company at the moment but they had a ton of different flavors. Ever since trying them, I’ve mulled over just how easy they might be to recreate. And was I right!

This recipe basically requires three ingredients, three steps, and 30 minutes of your time. And most of that 30 minutes will be you just sitting on the couch, watching tv, while these bake away! It’s honestly one of the easiest snacks in the world to make! You’ll be drooling while they roast in the oven with the delicious smells wafting from the kitchen. And you most definitely won’t be able to last more than 30 seconds after removing them from the oven before popping one (or 10) in your mouth. They’re just that good! Feel free to mix up the spices as you see fit. If you don’t have access to Vulcan Fire seasoning (sad day for you!), try some chili pepper, cumin, Lawry’s seasoning salt, or just some good old EVOO and sea salt! The world is your oyster! Mix it up!
