Gluten free almond poppyseed bread

Gluten Free Almond Poppyseed Bread is life!

This first recipe for Gluten Free Almond Poppyseed Bread is an adaption of one of my all time favorite family recipes. My grandmother used to make this bread all the time when I was little. She’d make tons of tiny loaves and give them away as gifts, or freeze them to eat with her evening cup of tea. I’ve tweaked her recipe to be gluten and dairy free and it’s still completely delicious. You can make this in a loaf pan like I did, or mini loaves, or even muffins! I’ve tried all three of these shapes and they all come out fantastic. This is a great recipe to freeze as well. It holds up well!

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup white sugar can sub coconut sugar, if desired
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 3/4 cup cashew or almond milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 1/2 tbsp poppyseeds

Glaze for top

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
