Whole30 Green Monster Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 jalapeno seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp lime or lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp, each salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup walnuts

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine all ingredients (except for the nuts) 1-2 minutes, or until smooth.
  2. Add  walnuts (or whatever nut you've decided to use) and blend till smooth and sauce-like.
  3. Refrigerate after use for up to 5 days.

Recipe Notes

You can also use pecans, pistachios, or tahini instead of the walnuts, if desired. I just happened to have a bunch of walnuts on hand from Christmas baking but go "nuts"! *pun intended ;)
